The textbook is ok as far as college material is concerned. Not much difference between the 9th and 10th edition which was disappointing. Text book companies just trying to make a buck off college students.

I debated returning this item because of the 'global'/'international' twelfth edition moniker, however after consulting my course material, I found it to be the same as the hardcover and entirely more affordable. Thank You!!!

I will use this vendor in the future, my item got to me much sooner than I expected it. The content is the same that the hard copy use version that is 4 times the price of this International copy.

Great book with tons of information. Relates a lot to the principles of management by applying common sense with technical skills. The paperback version is exactly the same as the hardcover for a much cheaper price.

This book was a necessary purchase for a class that i have been taking. I think it is organized well but tedious to read.

The text in this is very tight and tiny. Content is a little verbose and not well organized at all.

Good HR book. Good information and examples and the chapters are set up so that they are easy to understand.

Great format of writting. Easy to understand and follow, lessons are formatted really well and I love the visual images. I am actually contemplating keeping this book, has lots of great HR tools in it.

This text provides a good starting point. More focus on memorization of 'facts' with some practical real world application. Could have a better focus on implementation methodologies. For the most part clear and concise. An easy read. Fine for a quarter based college intro to HR class. The apsiring HR maven would need additional materials including better training in methods of application/implementation. Better than most texts in this area

Great digital version. Will definitely consider renting from Amazon again. The find feature is awesome. it definitely help me out on my researchs.

Management 9th Edition Griffin

The book seems to be laid out well. It has been engaging using it in conjunction with the instructor's assignments.

Purchased this book via the Kindle platform and used the PC app to write numerous papers. Terrific to be able to highlight, take notes, and then copy and paste right into my documents the information. Because of this option, I was able to earn A's in all my MBA classes and graduate with Honors while running two other businesses!

Its a text book so I will not review plot or characters. What I will say is that saving half the price of buying this at the university book store made it very interesting. Half the price and delivered right to my door without waiting in line for it.

Its a great book, well layed out and easy to read. It is informative and provides all the information realated to HR and its functions. Would definately reccommend this book to any studying Human Resource Management at the university level.

Human Resource Management 9th Edition Byars Book

Classic HRM textbook for undergraduate students, all the information needed to pass any HRM course and I've used it for other courses as well including Industrial relations, Industrial Sociology and Industrial and Organizational Psychology, definitely worth adding to your text book collection. Easy to read as well.

The book was intimidating at first. The pages are black and white. There is no color. There are no pictures. Nothing to keep you drawn. However, the topics have a flow. It is an easy read, understandable and informative. Some interesting concepts.

The book was in good shape however, it must have been stored in a dusty area because every time I opened it my eyes & nose would get very itchy. Weird!

Great book for class.

I didn't make it past Chapter 5 before realizing I had too much on my plate this semester, but I did really enjoy what I read. The material seems extremely practical, and I like the way it's worded and organized. The one disadvantage of buying the international version is that the pages don't look as nice, but hey, if you're on a college budget, it's worth the savings. Anyway, for what it's worth, I give the book two thumbs up.

Very good book but drier than it could be for my liking

I am using this book for a Strategic Human Resource Management graduate class. This book has plenty of information, and I need it for the class, but it is much drier and boring than I think it could have been, had the author included more vignettes and case stories.

Good textbook and condition as described

This book is packed with material that would be beneficial for anyone wanting to educate themselves on HR management. It's a nice sturdy well-made book, despite being a paperback. The material is a little dry, which is usually the case when there is so much content. I used it for a graduate level MBA class.

Used it for my online class and it worked like a charm

By Lolion Dec 29, 2016

Saved so much money in ordering the international edition versus the regular edition!! It is the exact same! Used it for my online class and it worked like a charm. Definitely my route of choice when it comes to purchasing text books.

Why the book lose a lot pages? Page 591-596,619-621, 637-638, 648-650, 653-654,671-674, 684-686, 723-724,734-740,745-746,754-756,773-774,780-784. Most of pages are Exercise. I can not write the homework at all.

I did not like the layout of the book. The type of writing made it hard to read, much like legal papers do.
